Don Lemon is leaving X — and it appears not many seem to care.

The former host on CNN, released a statement on X, formerly Twitter.

Lemon, who still calls X Twitter, said he is leaving the social media platform because he believes it is no longer a place for debate and free speech.

“I’ve loved connecting with all of you on X, but it’s time for me to leave the platform,” Lemon wrote Wednesday morning.

“I once believed it was a place for honest debate and discussion, transparency, and free speech, but I now feel it does not serve that purpose,” he wrote.

Lemon continued to write about the new terms associated with X.

These new terms state disputes are to be heard in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas or Tarrant County, Texas courts.

“As the Washington Post recently reported on X’s decision to change the terms, this ‘ensures that such lawsuits will be heard in courthouses that are a hub for conservatives, which experts say could make it easier for X to shield itself from litigation and punish critics,” Lemon wrote.

“I think that speaks for itself,” he added.

He also posted a video reiterating his reasons for leaving X.

The response on X is probably not what he anticipated.

“Oh, you were still here?” one person wrote.

Oh, you were still here?

One commented on the length of his statement, writing, “I ain’t reading all that. You can Hit the ‘Delete Account’ anytime now.”

Another wrote, “This is not an airport, you don’t have to announce when you leave.”
