Donald Trump Jr. proposed “the funniest idea ever” to Elon Musk.
Trump Jr. responded to a meme about Comcast selling MSNBC, suggesting the two should purchase it.
Musk replied, “How much does it cost?”
He also later posted on X, “The most entertaining outcome, especially if ironic, is most likely.”
Joe Rogan chimed in, writing on X, “If you buy MSNBC I would like Rachael Maddow’s job. I will wear the same outfit and glasses, and I will tell the same lies.”
Musk responded, “Deal.”
“This is getting really interesting. It has to happen,” Trump Jr. replied to Rogan’s post.
Comcast issued a news release on Wednesday where the company revealed it plans to spin off NBCUniversal’s cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel. This is a part of the company’s “intent to create a new publicly traded company.”
However, as The Hill reported, “Comcast did not mention any indication it would be open to selling MSNBC.”
