APC Rejects Atiku Claim SWV Funds Tinubu Campaign

Nigeria’s All Progressives Congress has rejected Atiku Abubakar’s claim that the ₦12.8 trillion Service-Wide Vote in the 2026 budget could fund Tinubu’s 2027 re-election, insisting the SWV is a standard, government-wide budgeting mechanism for obligations and post-budget contingencies, not a secret fund. Atiku’s team has pushed for a full, itemized breakdown of the SWV, noting a surge from ₦638.34 billion in 2024 to ₦12.8 trillion in 2026 and pointing to unspecified or vaguely described allocations while APC touts reforms and achievements under the Renewed Hope agenda.
