United win Ipswich amid handball controversy

Manchester United's 5-2 win over Ipswich was overshadowed by a controversial handball incident involving Harry Maguire, with VAR allowing a goal that many believed should have been disallowed; the shot was ultimately credited as an own goal for Jacob Greaves after a deflection, illustrating ongoing confusion over the handball rule. The incident sparked cross-report debate about whether accidental handballs by the scorer should count and highlighted ongoing questions about IFAB rules and VAR interpretations.
