About Matewan

Matewan es un pueblo en Mingo County, West Virginia, Estados Unidos en la confluencia del Tug Fork River y Mate Creek. La población era de 412 en el censo de 2020, por debajo de 499 en 2010. El Pocahontas District del Norfolk Southern Railway pasa por el pueblo. Fue un sitio clave de las Coal Wars y la ubicación de la Battle of Matewan en 1920.
