Flock Cameras Face Scrutiny Across States

Arkansas cities including Mayflower, Cabot, and Pea Ridge are halting or pausing the use of Flock Safety license plate reader cameras amid privacy and civil-liberties concerns, with Mayflower ending its multiyear contract through 2027 and moving to remove the devices. Officials note the cameras aided investigations but are deemed intrusive, reflecting a broader local debate over surveillance vs. public safety.
