Oh, the audacity. The sheer nerve. The former CIA Director-  John Brennan who once signed off on an intel statement calling the Hunter Biden laptop “Russian disinformation” right before a presidential election — is now on MSNBC, clutching his pearls because Jim Jordan had the gall to suggest he might’ve lied to Congress. Yes, lied. As in, potentially perjured himself during sworn testimony before the American people. And instead of addressing that tiny detail, Brennan went full drama club on national television.

“I get mad,” Brennan said. “I also get sad.”

Touching. Really. Is this a federal investigation or a therapy session?

Let’s rewind. Brennan is the same guy who oversaw parts of the CIA during some of its most controversial chapters. He’s been knee-deep in surveillance scandals, political meddling, and — let’s not forget — peddling a narrative that helped sway the 2020 election. But now that he’s the one under scrutiny, suddenly it’s an existential crisis for “the state of our country”?

And here’s the kicker: Brennan thinks this is all some kind of personal vendetta. He says Republicans — particularly Jim Jordan — just want to “destroy individuals,” as if asking whether the former head of the most powerful intelligence agency in the world perjured himself is somehow… petty? Vindictive? Off-limits?

No. It’s called oversight. It’s called accountability. And, yes — sometimes, it’s called justice.

He even dragged his family into it. Because apparently, when you’re being referred for criminal prosecution, the best defense is a good sob story. Not facts. Not clarity. Not denial. Just a well-timed MSNBC appearance with some tissue-box energy and plenty of anti-Trump jabs.

Oh yes — Trump. Because naturally, Brennan had to spin this back around to the man who’s not even in the clip but lives rent-free in his head 24/7. He accused the current president of “abuse of power,” without blinking at the irony that he signed off on an intel letter designed to protect Joe Biden during a critical election window by misleading the public. But sure, Donald Trump is the problem here.

John Brennan says he’s “sad that this is the state of the country” after being referred to the DOJ for criminal prosecution.

“They don’t care about doing things like this to destroy individuals, to go after me, to hurt me and my family and others.”

Let’s talk about that intel letter for a second. The one Brennan helped orchestrate — claiming the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinfo. You know, the laptop that turned out to be very real and very damning. That letter was used to justify media blackouts, social media censorship, and deflections by the Biden campaign. And yet, Brennan still hasn’t explained how this didn’t cross legal lines. Why? Because he’s never had to explain anything. Until now.

Now, under a Trump administration that’s not playing by the old D.C. double standards, the walls might be closing in just a bit. And people like Brennan don’t like that. Because for decades, they were the wall. They were the final word. Untouchable. Immune. Above it all.

But this time, it’s not a slap on the wrist or a conveniently buried headline. It’s a referral. A letter to the Attorney General — and yes, Pam Bondi is reading every line.

And maybe that’s why Brennan is “dispirited.” Not because he’s innocent. But because for once in his career, someone actually dared to call him out — and this time, the consequences might be real.

So no, John. You don’t get to cry foul now. Not when you played politics at the highest levels of intelligence. Not when you helped shape a narrative that suppressed free speech and manipulated voters. And definitely not when the American people deserve to know if their government lied to them under oath.

You were director of the CIA. You knew what you were doing.

Now let’s find out if you broke the law doing it.
