A former Trump administration official turned co-host of ABC’s “The View” says she is “genuinely afraid” of her old boss.
Co-host Whoopi Goldberg asked her fellow panelists if they believe critics of “you-know-who” should be “scared of retribution” if he won a second term.
“You scared, Joy?” she asked.
Joy Behar responded, “No. I went to his wedding, remember.”
However, former Trump administration official and co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin chimed in, “I’m afraid.”
She continued, “I’m genuinely afraid of him. And I think like just to underscore that [as] someone who once worked for him, knows him personally, I fear him being in office.”
“This is a man who loves retaliation … It was leaked to The New York Times that he was taken to the bunker during the social justice protests in the summer of 2020 and he, said, ‘The person who did that should be executed. This is treason,'” she added. “This is a person who will weaponize any power he has to go after anyone that has slighted him.”

Finally, Griffin argued, “What you can’t forget … he’s more dangerous in a second term, God forbid. The first term, his worst instincts were usually stifled by people being like, ‘You gotta win a second term, you gotta win a second term.'”
“The second time … all bets are off. He would do whatever the hell he wants,” she claimed.
In 2021, Griffin was asked by CNN’s Jake Tapper if she believes former President Donald Trump would try to impose “some sort of autocracy” if he won a second term.
“I think he absolutely would,” she responded.
She continued, “There were things he wanted to do while in power the first time that were well beyond the scope of what the U.S. president should be able to do, but oftentimes it was simply the motivation of simply hoping to win reelection that kept him from doing things. It’s very different in a second term, and I think that’s what scares me the most.”
Griffin also claimed Trump would “weaponize the Justice Department against political opponents, going after the free press.”
“He would certainly be open to using the military for political reasons as well,” she insisted.
Her comments on “The View” come as polls appear to show Trump is the frontrunner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.
