Fox News is bringing on Caitlyn Jenner as a contributor to provide analysis on a “range of issues that are important to the American people.”
Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott said in a statement Thursday, “Caitlyn’s story is an inspiration to us all. She is a trailblazer in the LGBTQ+ community and her illustrious career spans a variety of fields that will be a tremendous asset for our audience.”
Jenner said, “I am humbled by this unique opportunity to speak directly to FOX News Media’s millions of viewers about a range of issues that are important to the American people.”
According to Fox, Jenner will “provide analysis across Fox News platforms, beginning with an appearance on Thursday’s edition of ‘Hannity.'”
The newly minted contributor won a gold medal in the 1976 Summer Olympic Games and was known at the time as Bruce Jenner.
However, in 2015, the Olympian came out as transgender and has since been known as Caitlyn.

Jenner has been critical of letting transgender athletes compete in women’s sports, as IJR reported.
During an interview with The Daily Mail, Jenner said, “I don’t think biological boys should compete in women’s sports – we have to protect women’s sports…that’s the bottom line.”
“I don’t see how you can be happy beating other girls under these circumstances. You have to have a sense of personal responsibility. You can still enjoy sports but not play at a competitive level, right?” the Olympian added.
Controversy around transgender athletes has been in the headlines recently after transgender swimmer Lia Thomas’ first-place finish in NCAA Women’s Swimming Championship 500 yard freestyle event earlier this month.
