A front-runner for President-elect Donald Trump’s White House press secretary position has emerged, per a report.

According to Mediaite, which cites four sources, Alina Habba is a favorite.

Habba is a lawyer who has represented Trump in several cases.

However, the sources said a formal decision has not be made yet, and ā€œthere are ongoing discussions with Habba about the job but it remains unclear whether she will take it,ā€ as Mediaite reports.

One source said, ā€œShe’s expected to be at Mar-a-Lago this week for conversations regarding a potential role.ā€

ā€œDonald Trump is the premier programmer and producer-in-chief, he casts for the on-air roles,ā€ a source from Trump’s camp said. ā€œAlina is camera-ready and tested on day one. But more importantly she’s battle tested after being in the frontlines with POTUS the last four years.ā€

The sources added, ā€œIt doesn’t hurt she’s close with the family and well-liked within.ā€

Habba responded on Fox News Tuesday to the report that she has emerged as a front-runner. She did not rule it out.

ā€œI leave it to the president and the three people that are on my board of directors — that’s Luke, Chloe and Parker, my children. Everybody will know in time,ā€ she said.

Habba also said, ā€œI am very loyal to President Trump. I would think about it very seriously.ā€

The Hill reported five possible picks for the role: Habba, Karoline Leavitt, Steven Cheung, Scott Jennings, and Jason Miller.
