The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested a fugitive who was trying to hide underneath a child’s bed Friday, according to a Saturday press release from the agency.

Keantray Davon Bryant-Muellner was arrested for violating the terms of his “Graduated Re-Entry probation sentence” under an outstanding warrant from the Washington State Department Corrections, according to the press release.

USMS members reportedly established a perimeter “around a residence associated with the fugitive” at approximately 5:30 p.m on Friday, according to the release. Agents made “multiple law enforcement announcements” before removing a glass sliding door, as two individuals left the residence.

The agents found the man “attempting to conceal himself while hiding under a child’s bed inside the residence,” the USMS said, via the release. The fugitive surrendered to law enforcement agents soon after.

Bryant-Muellner’s warrant came from an April 2024 arrest on charges “including First-Degree Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Fourth-Degree Assault (Domestic Violence), and Escape from Community Custody,” the press release states.

“Last night’s arrest reflects the strength of our partnerships and the teamwork among local, state, tribal, and federal law enforcement agencies,” United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Washington Craig Thayer said in a statement via the release. “With gun violence continuing to plague Spokane, every violent offender arrested and every firearm taken off the street makes our communities safer.”

The USMS did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for additional comment.
