Rep. John Garamendi (D-Ca.) issued a verbal threat in response to Donald Trump Jr.’s accusations about Democrats’ stance on coronavirus during his appearance on MSNBC.
On Friday, Garamendi discussed the California resident who recently tested positive for coronavirus. During the segment, MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson asked Garamendi about Trump Jr.’s remarks.
As previously reported on IJR, Trump Jr. suggested that Democrats are hoping the potential pandemic pervades the United States and kills “millions of people.”
Trump, Jr. claims the Democrats would want this to happen to “end the president’s streak of winning.”
The president’s son added, “Anything that they can use to try to hurt Trump, they will. Anything he does in a positive sense, like you heard from the reporter that was just suspended from ABC, they will not give him credit for. The playbook is old at this point.”
In response to those remarks, Garamendi said, “He should not be near me when he says that,” adding, “There would be a serious altercation. Don Jr. better not get any place close to me. It would not be a healthy situation.”

Trump Jr. has yet to respond to Garamendi’s comments, as of publication.
