The co-hosts of “The View” are urging Democrats to firmly support President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign and stop looking at other potential candidates.
During a segment about the president’s re-election announcement, Whoopi Goldberg said, “Democrats, I don’t know why you’re talking about, you know… the person to do the job is doing the job.”
“You get behind him, and we won’t have a problem. The minute you start making inroads — maybe this person, maybe this person — we’re done for!” she insisted
Finally, Goldberg added, “So make a decision! Make a decision.”

Joy Behar chimed in, “He needs another four years to finish the job.”
“You can’t fight fascism in four years. You need eight years for that,” she said.
Winding down the segment, Goldberg suggested, “You also need people to recognize what their best interests are, because he has had a lot of accomplishments.”
“You know, he’s done a lot for the country. He brought us back from the precipice,” Goldberg continued, adding, “It’s not a perfect country, but it’s better than where we were.”
Biden officially announced his re-election campaign on Tuesday, setting up a potential rematch with former President Donald Trump.
But polls show it may be a match-up Americans are not too excited about.
An NBC News poll released this week found 70% of Americans said they do not want Biden to run. Fifty-one percent of Democrats said the same.
Meanwhile, 60% of Americans said Trump should not run again.
And 41% of Americans said they would definitely or probably vote for Biden in the general election.
By contrast, 47% of respondents said they would vote for the Republican nominee.
