Vice President Kamala Harris burst into laughter after encouraging people to clap.

During an event on Friday, Harris sought to tout the state of the economy by focusing on job growth in July.

“Today’s jobs numbers make clear Bidenomics is working. Last month, we created 187,000 new jobs. That means today…” she said, before adding, “Yeah, go ahead and clap.”

Harris burst into laughter before stating, “I don’t want to step on the applause.”

“That means today, 187,000 more Americans are able to go to work to provide for their family and invest in their future,” she added.

At a separate point, she spoke about President Joe Biden’s economic philosophy which has been dubbed “Bidenomics.”

“That is called Bidenomics,” Harris said before laughing.

She added, “And we are very proud of Bidenomics.”

Her comments come as data showed nonfarm payrolls increased by 187,000 in July, which was lower than the 200,000 expected jobs.

However, it was higher than the June number of 185,000.
