Vice President Kamala Harris is laying out her policy vision over a month and a half after she became the Democrats’ presidential nominee.

On Monday, Harris’ campaign site added a policy proposal tab after weeks without one.

“Vice President Harris and Governor Walz are fighting for a New Way Forward that protects our fundamental freedoms, strengthens our democracy, and ensures every person has the opportunity to not just get by, but to get ahead. As a prosecutor, Attorney General, Senator, and now Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris always stood up for the people against predators, scammers, and powerful interests,” the campaign website states.

It added, “She promises to be a president for all Americans, a president who unites us around our highest aspirations, and a president who always fights for the American people. From the courthouse to the White House, that has been her life’s work.”

The page features several sections, such as one dedicated to building “an opportunity economy” and lowering ‘costs for families.”

According to this section, Harris would “fight to cut taxes for more than 100 million working and middle class Americans while lowering the costs of everyday needs like health care, housing, and groceries. She will bring together organized labor and workers, small business owners, entrepreneurs, and American companies to create good paying jobs, grow the economy, and ensure that America continues to lead the world.”

The campaign says Harris would “expand the Child Tax Credit to provide a $6,000 tax cut to families with newborn children.” Additionally, the site vows “no one earning less than $400,000 a year will may more taxes,” but said, “The the wealthiest Americans and the largest corporations pay their fair share, so we can take action to build up the middle class while reducing the deficit.”

“Under her plan, the tax rate on long-term capital gains for those earning a million dollars a year or more will be 28 percent, because when the government encourages investment, it leads to broad-based economic growth and creates jobs, which makes our economy stronger,” the plan added.

By contrast, the site attacks former President Donald Trump’s “Project 2025 Agenda.” The Left has tried to link the former president to the Project 2025 policy initiative. The Washington Post explains that the project was “a collaboration led by the Heritage Foundation among more than 110 conservative groups to develop a movement consensus blueprint for the next Republican administration.” However, Trump has repeatedly denounced it.

Harris’ website states, “Vice President Harris’ lowering costs agenda is a stark contrast to Donald Trump’s plans to jack up prices, weaken the middle class, cut Social Security and Medicare, eliminate the Department of Education and preschool programs like Head Start, and end the Affordable Care Act. Project 2025 would give him unprecedented control to implement his destructive agenda, including another handout to his billionaire friends and giant corporations.”

Additionally, Harris’ campaign said she would “never allow a national abortion ban to become law” and instead promised to sign a bill to “restore reproductive freedom nationwide” and push to pass the Equality Act.

The campaign also insisted Trump would “ban abortion nationwide, restrict access to birth control, force states to report on women’s miscarriages and abortions, and jeopardize access to IVF.”

On the issue of border security, Harris’ website expresses support for the failed bipartisan border security bill and an “earned pathway for citizenship.”

The revelation of her policy proposals comes just a day before Harris squares off on the debate stage against Trump.
