Hunter Biden insists conservatives have been focusing on him and allegations of corruption to hurt his father, President Joe Biden.
During an episode of the “Moby Pod” released on Friday, Hunter Biden said, “I recognize that none of this is necessarily about me. They are trying to — in their most illegitimate way, but rational way — they’re trying to destroy a presidency. And so it’s not about me.”
“What they’re trying to do is they’re trying to kill me, knowing that it will be a pain greater than my father could be able to handle, and so therefore destroy a presidency in that way,” he added.
Finally, Hunter Biden called conservatives focusing on him “sad” and “very, very sick people that have mostly likely faced traumas in their lives that they have decided that they are going to turn into an evil that they decided they’re going to inflict on the rest of the world.”

Conservative commentators and Congressional Republicans have raised concerns about allegations his father benefited from his foreign business dealings.
Additionally, they have alleged Hunter Biden has been treated differently by the Justice Department because his father is the president.
Aside from Republicans’ probes, he is facing criminal charges.
On Thursday evening, Hunter Biden was charged with three felonies and six misdemeanors.
In a statement, special counsel David Weiss accused the president’s adult son of spending “millions of dollars on an extravagant lifestyle rather than paying his tax bills.”
Prosecutor Leo Wise alleged in the charging document Hunter Biden spent money on drugs, strippers, and luxury hotels. Or as he put it, “Everything but his taxes.”
The Associated Press explained the charges revolve around $1.4 million in taxes Hunter Biden owed from 2016 to 2019 while he was struggling with addiction
It also pointed out the back taxes have been paid.
If convicted, he could spend a maximum of 17 years in prison.
Hunter Biden’s lawyer, Abbe Lowe, claimed the charges were political as he asserted prosecutors were “bowing to Republican pressure.”
“Based on the facts and the law, if Hunter’s last name was anything other than Biden, the charges in Delaware, and now California, would not have been brought,” Lowe said in a statement.
The news comes as Hunter Biden is facing federal firearm charges stemming from allegations he lied on a form in 2018 to acquire a gun.
