When former President Barack Obama led then-President Joe Biden off the stage at a fundraising event in 2024, Hunter Biden did not see a heartwarming moment. He saw red.
“That really, really, really, really pissed me off,” Hunter Biden told ABC News’s Jonathan Karl, per Axios.
Karl interviewed Hunter Biden for his upcoming book, “Retribution: Donald Trump and the Campaign That Changed America.”
The younger Biden told Karl how angry he was of Obama during a fundraiser at the Peacock Theater in Hollywood to raise money for Biden’s reelection campaign, The Hill reported.
At the event, Obama grabbed Joe Biden’s hand and they walked offstage together.
Hunter Biden, who told Karl he thought the moment “was going to be a meme,” said his father taking some time to acknowledge the audience, per Axios.
“I almost jumped up on the stage and said, ‘Don’t ever f‑‑‑ing do that to the president of the United States again — ever,” Hunter Biden said.
Biden ended up dropping out of the race in July after being pressured by his fellow Democrats, including actor George Clooney.
Clooney wrote an op-ed in The New York Times last July, urging Jie Biden to drop out of the presidential race. He cited Biden’s mental and physical decline as reasons.
The interview was part of Karl’s upcoming book, “Retribution: Donald Trump and the Campaign That Changed America.”
This was another move than angered Hunter Biden.
“F‑‑‑ him. F‑‑‑ him. F‑‑‑ him and everybody around him,” Hunter Biden said in an interview on Andrew Callaghan’s web series “Channel 5.”
“I don’t have to be f‑‑‑ing nice,” Hunter Biden continued. “No. 1, I agree with Quentin Tarantino. … F‑‑‑ing George Clooney is not a f‑‑‑ing actor. He is a f‑‑‑ing, like … I don’t know what he is. He is a brand.”
Karl’s book will be released Tuesday, Axios reported.
The book explains why Trump’s second term “is more radical and consequential than the first — changing America in ways that will far outlive the Trump presidency,” a book preview said.
