Iranian officials escalated their war of words with President Donald Trump, unleashing a barrage of attacks across their diplomatic social media channels.

Trump issued a profanity-laced warning to Iran on Sunday, demanding it reopen a key shipping route while giving the regime a new 48-hour deadline to reach a deal. Iranian officials reacted strongly, with embassies from Thailand to Austria mocking Trump’s tone and demeanor.

The Iranian embassy in Austria issued one of the harshest criticisms, suggesting that listening to Trump made him seem like a primitive, club-wielding figure from ancient times.

When you listen to him, close your eyes and you can almost see a Stone Age #caveman in a zebra hide, brandishing a club and treating savagery like everyday life.#Iran

“When you listen to him, close your eyes and you can almost see a Stone Age #caveman in a zebra hide, brandishing a club and treating savagery like everyday life,” the IRAN Embassy in Austria wrote.

Iran’s embassy in Zimbabwe reacted with sarcasm, posting a pointed and mocking response as part of Tehran’s broader online pushback.

“It is such a joy to hear this beautiful sound from Zimbabwe. Thank you for sharing,” the Iran Embassy in Zimbabwe wrote.

In India, Iran’s embassy dismissed Trump’s rhetoric as immature, stating that “swearing and throwing insults” reflected the behavior of a sore loser. Meanwhile, officials in Finland criticized the U.S. president for lacking basic standards of communication, calling his remarks a violation of social media etiquette and moral conduct.

Swearing and throwing insults are how sore loser brats behave.

Mr. @realDonaldTrump @POTUS,

The Strait of Hormuz remains open, though access can be influenced by the level of hostility.

Trump temporarily held off on launching military strikes against Iran’s power plants after saying he saw constructive movement in negotiations following his March 21 ultimatum to Tehran to reopen the strategic Strait of Hormuz. Since then, he has renewed his pressure by setting a new 48‑hour deadline for Iran to reach a deal or face intensified threats against its infrastructure.

“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!!” Trump posted Sunday morning. “Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah.”

Trump issued a similar threat on Saturday as U.S. forces worked to retrieve the crew member of a downed F‑15E. Early Sunday, military teams successfully brought the missing officer out of Iran during a bold and risky operation.
