It is not every day one “sees” President Donald Trump and First Lady dancing it “YMCA.”
But that is what happened on a recent episode of “Rokdim Im Kokhavim” — the Israeli version of “Dancing with the Stars,” Fox News reported.
The tribute kicked off with two professional dancers dressed up like the first couple — president in his usual blue suit and red tie and his wife the navy blue outfit she wore to the 2025 inauguration.
The National Anthem begins play and Trump tried to kiss Melania, but she rebuffs him and fixes his tie.
Then, the Village People’s “YMCA” comes through the speakers and the two start dancing.
“Melania Trump’s” inauguration suit is ripped away, revealing a sequined American flag outfit. “Donald Trump” starts his signature dance moves.
Needless to day, their dance moves were a popular topic on X.
“Israel ‘Dance with the Stars’ TV show featured one of the pairs dressed as President Trump and Melania Trump, and they absolutely killed it,” a poster wrote. The post includes a clip from the show that drew over two million views. “This is a must-watch.”
“This is very fun!” former Trump campaign senior adviser Steve Cortes wrote. “An overseas ‘Dancing with the Stars’ pair dressed as Pres Trump & the First Lady and CRUSHING it…”
“MUST WATCH!!” political commentator April Silverman wrote. “They absolutely killed it.”
However, some MAGA supporters were critical if the routine, calling the performance “disgusting,” the Irish Star reported.
“I find it disrespectful of our POTUS Donald J Trump and his First Lady Melania Trump,” one wrote.
“Bah – wanted to like it, but he mocked our president as a fat goofball with no charisma and the dance itself had none of the charm and whimsy of our dear president’s,” another posted.
“Great except for ending on split legs in the air for the ‘Melania’ dancer… pretty inappropriate for the depiction of a First Lady of any country.”
