“Morning Joe” co-host Joe Scarborough unleashed a Monday-morning temper tantrum targeting Democratic Michigan Sen. Elissa Slotkin over her response to a question on ABC’s “This Week” about allegedly illegal orders issued by President Donald Trump.

Slotkin admitted to “This Week” host Martha Raddatz that she couldn’t identify an illegal order issued by Trump when she was questioned about a video that urged members of the military and intelligence agencies to disregard such orders. During Scarborough’s rant, delivered while sitting alongside his co-host Mika Brzezinski, Scarborough claimed Slotkin gave Raddatz the “wrong answer.” (RELATED: Democrat Who Pushed Video Telling Troops To Disobey Trump Forced To Admit She Can’t Name One Illegal Order)

“I’m sorry, with all due respect, wrong answer,” Scarborough claimed. “President of the United States, the commander in chief, does have, Jonathan Lemire, wide latitude just does and the Senate can take that up, but he has wide latitude on strikes, as Barack Obama and drone strikes, as George W Bush and drone strikes.”

“But where we know the president has said, I am going to give illegal orders to people in the military, is when he was on Air Force One coming back, I forget where he was coming back from, but he said, I can send the marines, I can send the army, I can send the air force, I can send the coast guard into any city,” Scarborough continued. “I want to control crime, and the courts can’t do anything about it. That’s illegal. That’s just illegal. And so, Democrats kind of need to if the president has already said, I’m going to commit this illegal act, then I’m kind of surprised they don’t have the answer when they go on a Sunday show for that.”

United States military forces have conducted multiple strikes against vessels engaged in running drugs since September 2, when forces sank a boat carrying 11 members of the Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua (TdA).

“Yeah. I mean, it’s also the bitter politics here, right? I mean, I think Americans are going to care more about the Marines and the armed forces on the streets of US cities than perhaps they will what’s happening in Venezuela now,” Jonathan Lemire said. “She’s not wrong. There are real questions about what’s happening in Venezuela as well. The president does have broad latitude, but they are going through gymnastics to try to justify politically.” (RELATED: Joe Scarborough Spends Over 2 Minutes Declaring Democrats Won Government Shutdown)

Scarborough said that Slotkin should have cited Trump’s efforts to send troops to U.S. cities, where he has said they are there to protect federal property or to support federal law enforcement agencies. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations and facilities across the country, including in the Chicago area and Portland, Oregon, have been targeted by rioters.
