Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) made quite an impression during her first appearance on “The View” Tuesday.
So much so co-host Joy Behar noted Greene is “smarter than we thought,” Mediaite reported.
Behar’s words are on response to Greene speaking out against the Republican Party.
Greene fielded questions from co-host Whoopi Goldberg regarding the government shutdown to which Behar suggested Greene become a Democrat.
On Wednesday, Goldberg asked Behar what she has learned recently. Here answer included Democrat Zohran Mamdani, who won the mayor race in New York City.
“‘Whatshisname’ Trump is going to have to learn how to pronounce Mamdani’s name now. That’s gonna be rough on him. Before we even talk about that, I have to say Marjorie Taylor Greene was on the show yesterday and her timing couldn’t have been better,” Behar said. “I mean, she’s basically turning on the Republicans in several areas. Of course, continuing to say she loves Trump because why wouldn’t you, because the retribution against her would be horrible, so she stays there.”
“And then today the Democrats pulled it out of the air and did it. So she was right, she’s smarter than we thought,” Behar continued.
Greene has spoken out against Republicans for the shutdown.
She called out House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and has demanded the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files.
She has also criticized President Donald Trump’s foreign policy as “an America Last strategy.”
