FBI Director Kash Patel told Republican Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy on Tuesday that there is “no credible information” that sex offender Jeffrey Epstein trafficked women to other individuals.

Given that Patel has seen most of the Epstein files, Kennedy asked the FBI director during the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on whether Epstein had trafficked anyone besides himself. Patel said that while the information is “limited” in the case file, there is no indication that women were trafficked to anyone else.

“There is no credible information. None. If there were, I would bring the case yesterday that he trafficked to other individuals and the information we have, again, is limited,” Patel said.

WATCH:

The Epstein files came into the media spotlight after the Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI concluded that no outside force killed Epstein and that he never possessed a client list. Members of the House have attempted to force the government to release all of the Epstein files, though most House Republicans have blocked these efforts.

President Donald Trump has downplayed the public’s interest in the Epstein files. He told reporters that he previously ended his friendship with Epstein after the two had a falling out in 2004 over his purchase of a property in Palm Beach, Florida, according to The New York Times. Previous reports have also suggested that Trump banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago for making advances toward another member’s teenage daughter.

Epstein’s former partner Ghislaine Maxwell told Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche in July that she never witnessed Trump “in any inappropriate setting” and that he had been a “gentleman in all respects.” Epstein’s victims denied ever hearing or seeing Trump engage in any inappropriate or illegal behavior during a Sept. 3 interview with NBC News.

Maxwell is serving a 20-year prison sentence after being convicted of sex trafficking underage girls. After her deposition with Blanche, she was transferred from a maximum-security prison to a minimum-security prison.
