White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway confirmed her she will be leaving President Donald Trump’s administration at the end of the month.
On Sunday, Kellyanne Conway released a statement explaining the reason for her departure. She also announced her husband, George Conway would be “making changes.”
As she noted the academic changes being imposed due to the pandemic, she stressed the importance of her and her husband shifting more of their focus to their children who will be attending school remotely this fall.
“I will be transitioning from the White House at the end of this month. George is also making changes,” Kellyanne Conway said in a statement.
“We disagree about plenty but we are united on what matters most: the kids. Our four children are teens and ‘tweens starting a new academic year, in middle school and high school, remotely from home for at least a few months. As millions of parents nationwide know, kids ‘doing school from home’ requires a level of attention and vigilance that is as unusual as these times.”
I'm Leaving the White House. Gratefully & Humbly.

God Bless You All.
Shortly after Kellyanne Conway released her statement, George Conway took to Twitter as he confirmed an upcoming Twitter hiatus and his withdrawal from the Lincoln Project.
Although he is stepping away from the anti-Trump initiative, he made it clear he will continue to support its mission.
“So I’m withdrawing from @ProjectLincoln to devote more time to family matters, George Conway tweeted.
He added, “And I’ll be taking a Twitter hiatus. Needless to say, I continue to support the Lincoln Project and its mission. Passionately.”

The couple’s announcements came amid reports about their daughter, Claudia Conway, seeking emancipation from her parents.
Over the weekend, the 15-year-old released multiple tweets as she verbalized her disapproval of her parents’ overall political views, namely her mother’s support of Trump.
In fact, on Saturday, she reacted to finding out her mother would be speaking at the Republican National Convention. The teen confirmed that was her breaking point.
i’m devasted that my mother is actually speaking at the RNC. like DEVASTATED beyond compare

Claudia Conway also revealed she and her father are also at odds when it comes despite them both having the same stance on Trump.
“As for my dad, politically, we agree on absolutely nothing. we just both happen to have common sense when it comes to our current president,” She tweeted. “Stop “stanning” him.”
