A Christian-themed song played by Kid Rock at Turning Point USA’s (TPUSA) halftime show dethroned Bad Bunny as the top hit song on Apple’s sales chart on Monday.

Kid Rock played a cover of Cody Johnson’s song, “Til You Can’t,” at TPUSA’s “All-American Halftime Show” that countered Bad Bunny’s performance at the Super Bowl on Sunday, which was then released at midnight. The song climbed the charts as Bad Bunny’s performance received scrutiny from many Americans for his anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) rhetoric leading up to his Super Bowl performance.

Johnson’s version of the song is the second on the list, the charts show. Bad Bunny’s song, “DtMF,” is listed third on the list.

This is wild! 3 of the top 4 songs on Apple’s top sales charts are from the All-American Halftime Show 🔥🔥

The National Football League (NFL) announced Bad Bunny’s performance at the Super Bowl while tensions related to President Donald Trump’s immigration policies remained high. The NFL defended its decision to pick Bad Bunny, stating that the rapper had a “massive global outreach,” according to ESPN.

TPUSA then announced it would host an alternative show, which featured Kid Rock and country singers Brantley Lee, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett. The performances garnered over 25 million views despite not being able to air on X.

Bad Bunny performed entirely in Spanish and included several Puerto Rican symbols, including having backup singers dress as sugar cane field workers. He praised several countries in North, Central and South America, and proclaimed, “God bless America.”

The Puerto Rican native has repeatedly condemned Trump and ICE, including during the Grammy Awards, where he stated, “Before I say thanks to God, I’m going to say, ICE Out.” He also avoided tours on the U.S. mainland over fears of ICE raids at his concerts.
