Charlie Kirk was a more powerful gospel minister than a lot of pastors in America for many are weak and give into leftism (some are too far right also but the main dogma infiltrating the church is undoubtedly leftism). Charlie was not ordained nor went to Bible college (nor graduated from college for that matter). His greatest platform was not in a church building but in places where leftism dominates.

Yet, like a true Christian, God used Charlie, and he was growing. His theology was solid and orthodox. It applied to everything Charlie believed from marriage, work, and even his feelings about death. While undoubtedly seen as a political figure, Charlie was increasingly being seen as a spiritual leader for all, especially the young.  More and more, he was asked spiritual questions and Charlie was bold that Jesus Christ was his personal Lord and Savior and that if someone was dying that is what he would tell them about. It was also for his faith in Jesus that Charlie said he wanted to be remembered when one day he too, died.

This made Charlie Kirk dangerous as his ministry confronted the enemy at Satan’s two largest dominions, the leftist indoctrination colleges and on the deepest recesses of the internet.  He made people feel comfortable with the thing their leftist professors said they should not do, in allowing free speech and debate as well as watching it. Charlie was always kind even if such debates still ended in disagreement, though he converted more than a few people.

At the heights of this influence, Satan wanted Charlie dead believing that would stop the message.  The last two questions Charlie was asked centered on Charlie’s faith in Jesus and then transgender shootings. Then Charlie, with friend/Christian apologist Frank Turek, Jason Chaffetz and his security team at his side, was murdered in front of thousands who loved him by a man who had left the upbringing of his youth and was romantically involved with a transgender person.  Satan rejoiced believing it would silence Charlie’s message.

Satan tried that 2,000 years ago when wood from one of God’s trees was used to fashion a cross that would utterly torture the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Jesus was killed in front of the people he loved for our sins. Yet the greatest tragedy ever to happen, the Cross, turned into the greatest and only redemption possible for all men, the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Satan has tried similar things throughout history, from Pharoah to the one who called himself Fuhrer.  They failed, with Pharoah’s troops swallowed by the Red Sea and Hitler’s remains burned in a makeshift furnace.

When Satanists would show up to Charlie’s rallies he would rebuke them in the name of Jesus.  We rebuke this evil in the name of Jesus and will not just carry on but will prosper in what is going to be our finest hour.

Charlie’s movement will not die but it will, in the works of his wife Erika, grow. Jesus Christ is so great and so powerful that what Satan would use for evil, God will turn it around on its head.  As a movement, we will carry on with Jesus carrying us.

While our movement grows so we must look inward. Charlie did it, and God calls us to self-examination. God also knows how we feel for He lost someone He loved for a time. Yet, God also calls us to forgive, yes even that evil man who did this. I have to. Jesus forgave me. I refuse to become the very thing I despise.  Forgiveness will not stand in the way of justice. It should not. But lack of it will destroy us inside. Forgiveness in our hearts makes us one with Jesus and will open up the Gospel doors in unimaginable ways.

The Lord is already doing it. People are putting their faith in Jesus Christ, going to Church/returning to Church, marriages are being restored (husbands committing to loving/serving their wives and wives respecting/submitting to their husbands), people are walking away from abusive relationships, giving up smoking/drinking, planning a Jewish sabbath with their phone, reconciling with family members, committing to ministry, getting involved with Turning Point USA, and students are standing up to their professors. Someone even named their child after Charlie.

One man wrote: “I was an atheist, and this event made me realize I had been asking the wrong questions. I’m going to church tomorrow to pray for Charlie’s family, and I want to learn about Christ and what made Charlie so courageous to risk his life and spread the gospel.”

In the midst of great spiritual warfare Charlie Kirk, like Jesus Christ, spoke freedom. And like Jesus, Charlie Kirk gave us the greatest gift one could: his life. Let us use our life of freedom in Christ to do “even greater things” that Jesus said we would as His Followers.
