Left-wing podcaster Leigh McGowan tried to silence conservative podcaster Ben Ferguson on Tuesday night during a discussion of United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations.
President Donald Trump appeared at a White House press briefing on Tuesday, during which he confronted reporters with mugshots of some of the illegal immigrants arrested by ICE in the Minneapolis area. McGowan demanded that Trump show proof that ICE was arresting criminals.
“If Donald Trump wants to get on TV and say, ‘Our problem is we haven’t highlighted our accomplishments enough,’ I would say, ‘Great. Highlight your accomplishments. Prove it,” McGowan said. “Prove you are getting the worst of the worst. Show us the murderers and the rapists and the killers that you are arresting.’ Stop yourself. Then tell us you‘re not rounding up-”

“They had a [press conference] with the pictures,” Ferguson responded, prompting a back-and-forth.
After the back and forth, McGowan demanded Ferguson stay quiet.
“Zip it,” she said, with Ferguson responding, “No. Sorry, you’re not my mom. And second of all, you don’t get to make it up. We’ve had the posters at the White House, the people that have been rescued. You said, ‘Show them to me.’ We have showed them to you.”
The Department of Homeland Security regularly issues press releases featuring what they describe as “the worst of the worst” illegal immigrants with criminal convictions that have been taken into custody, including highlighting arrests made in Minnesota as part of a surge by ICE in response to reports of massive welfare fraud perpetrated by Somalis.
The charges against the illegal immigrants highlighted in the DHS releases have included homicide, sexual assault, sodomy on a 12-year-old-girl, lewd or lascivious acts with a minor, criminal sexual conduct, domestic violence, attempted first-degree murder, raping a corpse, pornography involving juveniles, sexual abuse of an animal, indecent exposure, indecent assault, fraud, identity theft, violating a court order, menacing and driving under the influence.
