“The Young Turks” co-host Ana Kasparian told a left-wing streamer he represented “the worst of us” Monday after the streamer refused to condemn the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.
“Piers Morgan Uncensored” host Piers Morgan noted that Republican Gov. Spencer Cox of Utah said during a Sunday interview with “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker that Kirk’s alleged assassin, Tyler Robinson, had been “indoctrinated” with “leftist ideology.” YouTube streamer Steven Kenneth Bonnell II, also known online as “Destiny,” interrupted Morgan.
“No, no, it’s not true,” Destiny responded, with Morgan cutting in, “You may not want to hear this. You may not want to hear it, Destiny, but the reality is the investigators, according to the governor of Utah, have established that he was radicalized to a leftist ideology that drove him to murder Charlie Kirk. Now let me just ask you —”
“It’s just not true,” Destiny insisted.

Cox confirmed that the phrase “Bella Ciao” was engraved on one of the bullet casings when announcing the arrest of Robinson for Kirk’s assassination on Friday. The song became a popular anthem among left-wing partisans in Italy resisting the regime of Benito Mussolini.
“Let me ask you — okay, you’re accusing the governor of lying. That’s your prerogative. But if it turns out to have been somebody with a leftist ideology who wanted to shut up Charlie Kirk, would you condemn that?” Morgan asked Destiny, who responded, “I won’t condemn anything until the president of the United States can go on air and say all of us need to calm down.”
“So you won’t condemn the murder of Charlie Kirk until Donald Trump says something?” Morgan asked, with Destiny responding, “Piers, I’m a YouTuber. Leftists and Democrats have been condemning and turning down the temperature, condemning and turning down the temperature for a decade. Donald Trump can’t go on TV and say all of us need to calm down. Can you tell me why he cannot tell his side to calm down? You can’t answer that — can you answer that question?”
After Destiny insisted Trump needed to calm his supporters down, Kasparian jumped in.
“Why is your behavior contingent on Donald Trump?” she asked, with Destiny responding, “Because he’s the president of the United States of America and the leader of the opposing political party.”
After a back-and-forth, with Destiny claiming he was “a YouTuber” with a much smaller following than Trump, Kasparian cut in.
“You have a huge audience. And because of the fact that you have a huge audience, you have a responsibility to not turn —” she said, before Destiny interrupted with, “Your brain has been broken by online rhetoric.”
“No, it hasn’t. It hasn’t been broken,” Kasparian shot back. “I actually care about the country and want to bring people together. You do the opposite. You represent the worst of us, Destiny.”
Destiny previously clashed with Morgan after Morgan questioned him over his refusal to condemn the July 13, 2024, assassination attempt targeting President Donald Trump.
“You are inhuman, you are somebody who seems almost gleeful that a young firefighter with a family — with a wife and children who he was protecting as he was shot dead. That he deserved what was coming to him because he went to a President Trump rally,” Morgan told the streamer at the time.
Destiny and Morgan also argued over a post by the streamer on X that implied God was responsible for the deaths caused by the July 4 weekend floods in Texas.
