As if we need more examples of the pure hatred and animosity toward former President Donald Trump, a liberal podcaster just shared how much he would have been willing to let slide in 2020 to get a new occupant of the White House.
Sam Harris, the host of the “Making Sense” podcast, shared with the Triggernometry podcast some hypothetical scenarios about the Bidens that would not have phased him in 2020.
“Hunter Biden literally could have had the corpses of dead children in his basement. I would not have cared…first of all, it’s Hunter Biden,” Harris — a neuroscientist and philosopher — said.
He went on, “Whatever [the] scope of Joe Biden’s corruption is, like if we could just go down that rabbit hole endlessly and understand he’s getting kickbacks from Hunter Biden’s deals in Ukraine or China, it is infinitesimal compared to the corruption we know Trump is involved in.”

The podcast host went on to admit that shutting down a story from the New York Post about Hunter Biden’s laptop in 2020 was a “left-wing conspiracy to deny the presidency to Donald Trump,” but he argued it was “warranted.”
Harris’ comments predictably triggered an avalanche of criticism from conservatives.

All because he doesn’t like Trump.
Yes, it would be shocking if the son of a president — or presidential candidate — had corpses of children in his basement.
That would be a sign of some incredibly disturbing and evil behavior.
But, to be fair to Harris, Hunter Biden was not and is not a politician or serving in the federal government.
It could be argued that the younger Biden having dead children in his basement reflects poorly on Joe Biden’s parenting and raises questions about him and whether there are some family issues that he should be trying to address rather than running for office.
However, parents can’t control how their children turn out, and by Harris’ logic, Trump is far worse and poses a far greater threat, so it shouldn’t matter since it’s not Joe Biden who had the corpses in his house.
Harris’ other statement that he would not care if it came to light that Joe Biden was receiving kickbacks from his son also seems shocking.
But again, when you step back to think about how much he despises Trump, it makes sense that with a two-party system, he would be willing to vote for what he views as the lesser of two evils — no matter how evil that alternative is.
So yes, Harris’ comments are startling, but they really shouldn’t be surprising at this point.
