A kindergarten graduate went viral after a photo was snapped of her sitting in a sophisticated pose.
On May 24, Lexii Sims posted a photo on her Facebook page of her daughter, Taylor Sims, 6, sitting perfectly poised in a blue cap and gown during her kindergarten graduation ceremony in Bastrop, Louisiana.
“My baby on her way to 1st grade she so sassy lord cause why your legs crossed,” Lexii Sims wrote in the caption.
Facebook users got a kick out of the photo and praised Taylor in the comments.
“The confidence that this little lady exudes is awesome! Congratulations,” one user commented.
Another user wrote, Taylor looked like she was, “Ready for her first day in Corporate America.”
“Saw this on the news. What a bright young lady. Definitely got my vote as future president,” another user wrote.
“The poise that she already possesses!! She got IT!!!” one user noted.
One user noticed Taylor was “very wise and confident.”
In an interview with the “Today” show, Lexii Sims said her daughter had “sass to her — and she always has.”
“She lives in her truth,” the proud mom added.
Lexii Sims also revealed Taylor was born six weeks premature and referred to her little girl as a “natural fighter.” Due to her serious condition, hospital staff initially predicted that she would have to stay longer inside the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
However, Taylor improved and was able to go home the next morning, Lexii Sims recalled.
According to the “Today” show, Lexii Sims said her daughter has many different career goals.
She said Taylor aspires to be “a princess who owns her own hair salon. But she’s also expressed interest in becoming a police officer or paramedic.” She also could envision her daughter “modeling on a runway one day.”
“As soon as you pull out a camera, she’s going to give you a pose,” Sims said.
Lexii Sims described Taylor as “outspoken” and a “tough cookie.”
