“Snow White” actress Rachel Zegler was slammed on social media after a video of her bashing the original film resurfaced.
In a recent viral video posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, by the Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh, Zegler, 22, criticized the classic cartoon during an interview.
“Disney is trying a really interesting marketing strategy where the star of the new ‘Snow White’ spends a year before the movie’s release publicly talking about how much she despises ‘Snow White,'” Walsh wrote in the caption.

Users on X echoed the same sentiments and agreed with Walsh’s assessment.
“They seem to have picked the woman who hates Snow White most of all to play some ripped apart feminist version of the classic…,” one user noted.

Another user claimed Zegler “epitomizes her generation” and called it “suffocating.”
“Profoundly insufferable. Really. We need to be done with this,” the user added.

“Replacing charm and romance with woke anger and self-righteousness,” another user said of the film’s new direction.

During an interview with “Extra,” Zegler claimed the prince in the original movie was a stalker.
“I mean, you know, the original cartoon came out in 1937 and very evidently so. There’s a big focus on her love story with a guy who literally stalks her,” she said.
Additionally, Zegler emphasized how “weird” it is and revealed they removed that aspect from the newly anticipated film.
When asked how the movie will address Snow White’s love interest, she responded, “We have a different approach to, what I’m sure a lot of people will assume is a love story, just because we cast a guy in the movie, Andrew Burnap, great dude.”
“It’s one of those things that I think everyone’s going to have their assumptions about what it’s going to be, but it’s really not about the love story at all, which is really, really wonderful,” Zegler continued.
