Let’s talk about what “fairness” really means in Democrat-speak. Because if you watched Maryland Governor Wes Moore on Face The Nation this weekend, you probably caught that sly little pivot they’ve perfected—where “fair” suddenly means eliminating the only Republican left standing in your state’s congressional delegation.

Yep, that’s right. Maryland has ten members in Congress. Nine of them are Democrats. The one Republican—Rep. Andy Harris—is apparently one too many for Governor Moore, who’s now openly floating the idea of gerrymandering Harris out of his seat… all in the name of “fairness.”

You really can’t make this stuff up.

Moore, doing his best impersonation of a neutral statesman, claimed it’s about ensuring “fair lines and fair seats.” And then, just a few seconds later, he let the truth slip. He said it’s about fighting situations where “politicians are choosing voters.” Funny—because that’s exactly what he’s doing.

But don’t worry, he threw in some classic misdirection: He blames Trump. Naturally. Apparently, if Donald Trump blinks in the direction of a redistricting map, it’s considered voter manipulation. But if Democrats redraw maps to eliminate dissent? That’s just “democracy in action.”

Let’s pause and make this clear: Moore wants to remove the only Republican voice Maryland voters have in Congress. One seat. In a state where nearly 40% of voters chose Donald Trump in 2024.

“I want to make sure we have fair lines and fair seats”: Maryland governor Wes Moore (@GovWesMoore) told “Face the Nation’s” @margbrennan that “all options are on the table” regarding redistricting in Maryland, which currently has one Republican in its congressional delegation. pic.twitter.com/YCjljamtNl

Does that sound like representation?

Moore also invited Trump to walk Maryland’s streets with him. Trump’s response was epic:

🚨 HOLY CRAP! President Trump just absolutely nuked Maryland Governor Wes Moore, THREATENS federal funding due to his lack of a crime crackdown

“Stop talking and get to work, Wes. I’ll then see you on the streets!!”

47 is in F-IT MODE. 🔥

Trump also posted this:

🚨 WHOA. President Trump just posted this….

“Did Wes Moore, the Governor of Maryland, lie about getting a Bronze Star?”

But here’s the kicker: this isn’t happening in a vacuum.

Democrats across the country are gearing up for a redistricting arms race. And they’re not even hiding it anymore. California’s Gavin Newsom is already cooking up a plan to override the independent redistricting commission—that voters approved in 2010—so the legislature (a.k.a. his party machine) can “adjust” the maps and scrape up five more Democrat-friendly districts. You read that right. They want to undo voter-approved reforms… to better serve the party.

In Texas, Republicans redrew their map and picked up extra seats. Naturally, the media lost its collective mind. But when Democrats do the exact same thing, it’s somehow a “necessary response to GOP aggression.” It’s not hypocrisy—it’s strategy. And they assume you’re too distracted or too discouraged to call it out.

Wes Moore knows what he’s doing. This isn’t about fairness. It’s about control.

They don’t want competition—they want a monopoly. And they’re going to dress it up in platitudes about “representation” and “hearing voters’ voices,” even as they work behind closed doors to silence millions of them.

What makes this all so rich is the timing. Just as states like Florida and Ohio are following legal mandates to redraw maps, the Left is screaming about Republican power grabs—while doing the exact same thing, just with more media cover and slicker PR.

The message is loud and clear: if the people vote wrong, redraw the lines until they vote right. If the Constitution or independent commissions get in the way, just toss them aside. The narrative writes itself—democracy is sacred… until it gets in the way of Democrat power.

So here we are. A party that claims to “protect democracy” is actively working to strip away Republican representation in multiple states—starting with Maryland. And the media? Quiet as a mouse.

The only question left is: what happens when the rest of the country starts paying attention?

Because this isn’t just about Andy Harris or a map in Maryland. This is about whether voters still have a voice in places where one party has decided they shouldn’t.

And if you think they’ll stop at one seat, one state, or one election cycle—you haven’t been paying attention.
