Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has suffered another incident of freezing up.
On Wednesday, WLWT producer Hannah Thomas wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, “Sen. Mitch McConnell appearing to have another scary episode in the media gaggle in Covington today. Aides had to step in to help him out and repeat questions. He was eventually lead away.”
She shared a video from the moment when a reporter asked the Kentucky senator if he plans to run for re-election in 2026.
“Oh, I see,” McConnell responded.
He then turned and stared without answering the question.
Eventually, an aide walked over and asked, “Did you hear the question senator? Running for re-election in 2026?”
“Yes,” McConnell responded.
However, he did not offer any other comment on the matter.

Eventually, another aide walked over and appeared to talk with McConnell.
Before the video ended, his aide was asking reporters if they had other questions.
McConnell had a similar incident in July during a press conference. He stopped in the middle of a sentence and froze for several seconds before being led away.
He later insisted he was “fine,” and his staff told reporters he felt lightheaded during the incident.
