The optics didn’t look good for President Donald Trump after three emails linking Trump to Jeffrey Epstein were revealed by Epstein’s estate Wednesday.
But Megyn Kelly is calling for the release of the Epstein files, adding it should have been done long ago, per the HuffPost.
On her SiriusXM show, Kelly said emails “sound bad” for Trump.
“They don’t sound good. If I were a Democrat, I could easily make some hay with these, which they will,” Kelly said about the three emails.
“To me, this is a self-inflicted wound by the Trump administration and it was unnecessary,” she continued.
In July, Kelly claimed Attorney General Pam Bondi handled the Epsein files poorly by not releasing the information.
“Why didn’t he just release these? Just release them!” said Kelly said to NewsNation host Batya Ungar-Sargon, her guest.
“Now he’s in a position of being singled out as the only one, allegedly, as opposed to one of a slew of names,” Kelly said.
Watch:
Rogan O’Handley, also known as DC Draino, spoke out against the “drip-drip Democrat disclosures.”
“Release the entire Epstein files and let’s start putting the *real* criminals behind bars,” he posted on X.
Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released three emails where Epstein wrote in one that Trump “knew about the girls,” IJR reported.
An email from 2015 has author Michael Wolff writing, “I think you should let him hang himself,” allegedly referring to Trump.
Epstein and Wolff were talking about possible questions to pose to Trump about his relationship with Epstein for a CNN interview.
“If he says he hasn’t been on the plane or to the house, then that gives you a valuable PR and political currency,” Wolff wrote. “You can hang him in a way that potentially generates a positive benefit for you, or, if it really looks like he could win, you could save him, generating a debt.”
