Megyn Kelly on Kirk: ‘I’ve Prayed So Many Times to Charlie’

US journalist Megyn Kelly speaks during an "American Comeback Tour" stop hosted by Turning Point USA in Burruss Hall at Virgina Tech university in Blacksburg, Virginia, on September 24, 2025. Megyn Kelly said there are still times she looks to Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk for guidance.

Kelly talked about praying to Kirk since his murder it September to far-right activist Jack Posobiec at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest in Phoenix on Friday.

“I’ve prayed so many times to Charlie, and to God, to give me the right guidance on how to handle this whole thing…” Kelly, 55, said, pointing to a”fracture” within the conservative party.

Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, and conservative podcaster Candace Owens met Dec. 15. Owens has shared conspiracy theories about who was responsible for Charlie’s death. This has allegedly caused a rift between the two women, per CNN.

Kelly spoke about the “feud” between Erika Kirk and Owens during her SiriusXM show last week.

“It’s been going on now for a while,” Kelly said.

In her conversation with Posobiec, Kelly said, “I miss him so much … he was always so great.”

“He always knew exactly what question to ask, how to get you up and down in a story. He had a very good judgment for what was interesting to the audience too and was always so generous with his time and, you know, his approach,” Kelly added.

Should Megyn Kelly continue to seek guidance from Charlie Kirk despite his passing?

“So that of course I’m going to miss, but I can’t believe it’s been three months. In some ways it feels like yesterday and in some ways it feels like another lifetime that we’ve seen him, right?” Kelly continued.

TPUSA’s AmericaFest event started Dec. 18, and ended Dec. 21.

A photo opportunity for guests included a recreation of the booth Kirk was shot and killed.

Brandy Zadrozny of MS Now reported, “This is a recreation of the tent where Charlie Kirk lost his life at Utah Valley University in September, and people are taking selfies with it.”

She added, “You can see all around, people are saying like, ‘For Charlie,’ they’re wearing replicas of the shirt that Charlie Kirk was wearing when he was killed.”

“The second thing that’s happening is really a passing of the torch,” Zadrozny said.

“And that torch, as you mentioned, was being passed to his widow, Erika Kirk. Erika Kirk is now in charge of a political organization that brought in $100 million and that, you know, Donald Trump and JD Vance credit [it] with swinging some of the youth vote to Donald Trump,” she added.

Tyler Robinson, 22, was taken into custody, and is now facing multiple charges, including aggravated murder.
