Incoming first lady Melania Trump has given new details on her upcoming documentary on her life in the White House with President-elect Donald Trump, and some of the challenges she faced during her husband’s first term.

During an interview with “Fox & Friends” co-host Ainsley Earhardt, Melania Trump said the documentary was birthed from the success of her self-tilted memoir “Melania,” noting that fans and supporters wanted to have a deeper look into her life.

“Well, the book was such a success, and I’m very proud, and I get so many messages and letters, how they enjoyed the book … and fans and people would love to hear more from me,” Melania Trump told Earhardt, “So, I had an idea to make a movie, to make a film about my life.”

Production began in November and is still on-going as she and her husband prepare to take office on January 20. Melania Trump said the film will cover day-to-day life, and her responsibilities as first lady.

Melania Trump noted there are some differences moving back into the White House, as opposed to the first time the Trump’s took residence, with Melania Trump noting the biggest difference is being familiar with the surroundings and the process that is involved.

“The first time was challenging, we didn’t have much of the information … but this time, I have everything. I have the plans to move in, I already packed, I already selected the furniture that needs to go in, so it’s very different,” Melania Trump said.

Melania Trump said she was herself the first time Donald Trump was in office; however, she said she felt people didn’t really know who she was during that time, nor did they really accept her, adding she didn’t have a lot of support.

“I just feel that people didn’t accept me, maybe, they didn’t understand me the way maybe they do now, and I didn’t have much support,” she said, “Maybe some people they see me as just a wife of the president, but I’m standing on my own two feet, independent, I have my own thoughts, I have my own yes and no, I don’t always agree with what my husband is saying or doing, and that’s ok.”

Melania Trump said she gives Trump her advice on certain things, adding sometimes he will listen and sometimes he doesn’t, but noted she plans on spending her time at the White House or wherever she is needed.

“My first priority is to be a mom, to be a first lady, to be a wife, and once we are in on January 20, you serve the country,” she said.

Melania Trump added she is still filling spots on her team and will not rush into it but rather will take time to make sure she is being responsible with taxpayer money.

“I will not rush into that, I will see when I’m in the White House and what is needed. I don’t want to hire too many people on my team and spending too much taxpayer money,” she told Eardhardt, “I wanna make sure that every position — they are talented, they have merit, they know what they’re doing, as well as they are a team player, they don’t have their own agenda. So, they’re serving me, they’re serving my office, and they’re serving the country.”
