The unveiling of Melania Trump’s new feature film is beginning long before its theatrical debut. With Fox News receiving the first glimpse of the “MELANIA” trailer, anticipation is already rising for a project the first lady says will reveal a period of her life unlike any other.

According to Fox News, the 104-minute film, scheduled to launch in theaters worldwide on Jan. 30, 2026, will be accompanied by a future documentary series from Amazon.

The movie will be released in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and other regions worldwide.

The footage opens in the U.S. Capitol rotunda. Melania Trump stands poised in her inauguration attire, staring into the camera before saying, “Here we go again.”

The trailer then shifts locations and moments: the first lady and President Donald Trump together during inauguration events, scenes outside Mar-a-Lago, glimpses of Air Force One, the presidential seal, and candid shots of family members, including Barron Trump and Melania’s father.

Moments later, the MGM lion fills the screen. Then comes a quieter view — Melania entering a room where Trump practices a speech at a podium.

“My proudest legacy will be that of peacemaker,” Trump says.

Melania responds: “Peacemaker and unifier.”

Other scenes show the first lady stepping from a vehicle in black stiletto boots, smiling in her white and black inaugural ball gown inside the East Wing residence, and reviewing materials with her staff.

The tone shifts again as she asks a security agent, “is it safe?” followed by the wail of sirens and a motorcade cutting through a city street.

Throughout the trailer, text appears on the screen: “20 days to become first lady of the United States.”

“Everyone wants to know,” Melania Trump says. “So here it is.”

The final moment features a phone call.

“Mr. President,” she says, “congratulations.”

“Did you watch it?” Trump asks.

“I did not. Yeah, I will see it on the news,” she replies.

The film centers on a specific window of time — the 20 days leading up to the presidential inauguration. According to Melania Trump, it is a chapter the public has never seen from her perspective.

“History is set in motion during the 20 days of my life prior to the U.S. Presidential Inauguration,” she told Fox News. “For the first time, global audiences are invited into theaters to witness this pivotal chapter unfold—a private, unfiltered look as I navigate family, business, and philanthropy on my remarkable journey to becoming First Lady of the United States of America.”

She emphasized her involvement in every step of production.

“The 20 days of my life, preceding the U.S. Presidential inauguration, constitutes a rare and defining moment—one that warrants meticulous care, integrity, and uncompromising craftsmanship,” she said.

A source familiar with the project said Melania has been “hands-on” from planning through post-production, offering “unprecedented access” to her life.

The idea began after Trump won the 2024 election.

Negotiations led by her agent Marc Beckman included Amazon CEO Andy Jassy and ultimately ended in Amazon and MGM acquiring rights for $40 million, described as the highest documentary deal ever made. Disney, Netflix, and Paramount also pursued the project.

Beckman said Amazon secured the rights not only to the feature film, but to the documentary series as well.

Filming began in December 2024, with Melania Trump and Fernando Sulichin serving as executive producers and Brett Ratner directing.

Sources told Fox News the movie was intentionally created in a “highly cinematic” style — not as a traditional documentary.

The release follows the success of her 2025 memoir, “Melania,” which has held the top spot on the New York Times bestseller list.

The book offered personal stories, private photos, and reflections she described as deeply meaningful.

“Each story shaped me into who I am today,” she said at the time. “Although daunting at times, the process has been incredibly rewarding, reminding me of my strength and the beauty of sharing my truth.”

Now, the first lady’s next chapter is headed to theaters — and she says she’s ready for viewers to see exactly what those 20 days looked like.
