Melania Trump voted in the Florida primary Tuesday, but while she did not say who she voted for, she hinted at the possibility of joining her husband on the campaign trail.
The two Trumps were seen at a polling place in Palm Beach, Florida, and while former President Donald Trump has been front and center, Melania Trump has rarely been attending his campaign launch event in November 2022, according to CNN.
She gave a two-word answer when asked about her return to the campaign trail: “Stay tuned.”
There have been videos posted by Trump’s campaign. These include private events at Mar-a-Lago, according to ABC News.
According to CNN, she was not at her husband’s election night watch on Super Tuesday at Mar-a-Lago where they live. She has also not been present at Trump’s court cases.
Trump has said she’s been busy with their son, Barron. Her mother, Amalija Knavs, died in January of this year.
“She’s right now with Barron in school,” Trump said in a previous interview with NBC News. “She loves that boy. She’s very popular, she actually is. And she’ll be with us. She’s very, very supportive.”
Trump was not forthcoming on just when she would resume public life.
“Pretty soon, when it’s appropriate, but pretty soon,” he added. “She’s a private person, a great person, very confident person. And she loves our country very much. She’ll be — she’ll be at the appropriate time.”
However, Trump is not too anxious to have her back on the trail.
“She’ll be out there, and honestly, I like to keep her away from it. It’s so nasty and so mean,” Trump said.
