MTG Declares Mike Johnson’s ‘Days as Speaker Are Numbered’

WASHINGTON, DC - APRIL 16: House Homeland Security Committee members (L-R) Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA), Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), Rep. August Pfluger (R-TX) and their fellow Republican impeachment managers walk back through the U.S. Capitol Rotunda after transmitting articles of impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to the Senate on April 16, 2024 in Washington, DC. The managers proceeded through the Capitol to inform the Senate they are prepared to prosecute Mayorkas for 'willful and systemic refusal' to enforce border policies and a 'breach of public trust.' Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is warning House Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-La.) tenure may be ending soon.

In a post on X, Greene shared a post from entrepreneur David Sacks about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stating he is looking to develop a plan to receive a fixed amount of support from the U.S. for the next ten years.

“Zelensky announces that Ukraine is working on a security agreement with the U.S. that will fix levels of support for the next 10 years. The $61 billion was just the beginning. The next two U.S. presidents won’t be able to switch it off,” Sacks wrote.

Greene shared his post and added, “Permanent funding for Ukraine is exactly what they want and Mike Johnson will give it to them. Peace is not an option for them because it doesn’t fit the government appropriations war business and economic model, which is vile and disgusting.”

“They’re plan is keep funding the proxy war with Russia in Ukraine and when that doesn’t work, after all the Ukrainian men have been slaughtered, next they will put American troops on the ground,” she continued.

Greene added, “Johnson will do whatever Biden/Schumer want in order to keep the Speaker’s gavel in his hand, but he has completely sold out the Republican voters who gave us the majority. His days as Speaker are numbered.”

Greene has been leading the push since the House passed a government funding bill last month.

However, the push to oust Johnson started to gain steam as he held a vote on a several foreign aid packages for Israel, Taiwan, and Ukraine.

Greene has also previously questioned whether Johnson is being blackmailed due to his decision to pave the wave for the House to approve the aid packages.

“You can’t help but to question, what do they have on him? Is he being blackmailed? What would make this man do this?” she asked during an interview with X show host Tucker Carlson.
