Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is suggesting House Republicans’ impeachment inquiry could provide grounds for removing President Joe Biden from the ballot.
During an interview on Newsmax on Thursday, Greene labeled the decision by Colorado’s Supreme Court to find former President Donald Trump to be ineligible to hold office again “insane.”
“Let’s be honest, if the Left, if the Democrats want to start making these rules, well guess what we can use the same exact rules,” the congresswoman argued.
She explained:
“For example, we can take Joe Biden off the ballot in red states and other states because he is committing treason with his border policies and the invasion has gotten so bad at the southern border. We could also take his name off the ballot because of the impeachment inquiry that we’ve been doing on the oversight committee.”

Greene insisted Republicans have uncovered evidence Biden “sold his power for political favors” and “received the financial benefit from that.”
“If the Left wants to make new rules, we should make them live and play by their own rules,” she added.
On Tuesday, Colorado’s Supreme Court ruled Trump is ineligible to hold office again.
The ruling applies only to Colorado’s ballots and was paused until Jan. 4, the day before the state’s secretary of state has to certify candidates for the primary.
CBS News noted all the justices on the court were appointed by Democratic governors.
“We conclude that because President Trump is disqualified from holding the office of President under Section Three, it would be a wrongful act under the Election Code for the Secretary to list President Trump as a candidate on the presidential primary ballot,” the majority’s opinion stated.
It added, “Therefore, the Secretary may not list President Trump’s name on the 2024 presidential primary ballot, nor may she count any write-in votes cast for him.
On Wednesday, Biden argued it was “self-evident” that the former president is an insurrectionist.
However, he added, “Whether the 14th Amendment applies, we’ll let the court make that decision. But, he certainly supported an insurrection, no question about it, none, zero. And, he seems to be doubling down on everything.”
