Actor Jeremy Renner gushed over his mother on Mother’s Day, four months after a snowplow accident.
On Sunday, Renner, 52, showcased three photos of him and his mother on his Instagram page and expressed his love for her in the caption.
“Mother Earth, Mother Nature, and Mama…No matter how challenging, painful, or difficult life can be for me as of recent, it does not elude you. I’m sorry for the weight I’ve made you carry, yet so very grateful that you can with grace and strength. Thank you, love you mama…. My rock,” he wrote.
On Jan. 5, Renner posted a video on Twitter of his mother doting on him in the hospital.
“ICU Spa moment to lift my spirits. Thank you mama, thank you sister, thank all for you, for your love,” he wrote.
During his stay in the hospital, his mother recalled reading a Stephen King book to him just so that he could hear her voice.
In an interview with Diane Sawyer on “Good Morning America,” Renner revealed he was prepared to say goodbye to his family after he was critically injured when he was crushed by a 7-ton Pistenbully on Jan. 1 in Reno, Nevada.
“So I’m writing down notes in my phone … last words to my family,” he tearfully shared.
Following the accident, an incident report obtained by CNN stated, “Once he (Jeremy Renner) was off the Pistenbully, he realized it was heading directly toward (his nephew). He feared the Pistenbully was going to hit (his nephew), so he decided to attempt to stop or divert the Pistenbully.”
“The Pistenbully rolled over him and continued down the road,” The report continued.
