House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) blasted President Donald Trump during her weekly press conference and called on the White House to tell the public when Trump received his last negative coronavirus test before he caught the virus.
Pelosi told reporters on Thursday, “There’s one question that they refuse to answer: Before he got the virus and admitted to it when was his last negative test? When was his last negative test to make a judgment about the actions that were taken after that?”
She continued, “It is a very important question for a country because now the president is saying that he probably got this from the Gold Star families. Can you believe that he would say such a thing?”
Pelosi again called on the White House to release the date of Trump’s last negative test, saying, “Let us see a date, a time, when you last tested negative before you admitted to this virus.”

Trump suggested that he may have caught the coronavirus from Gold Star families during an interview on Fox Business on Thursday morning.
The president said, “I met with Gold Star families, I didn’t want to cancel that.”
He added, “I can’t say, ‘Back up, stand ten feet,’ you know, I just can’t do it. And I went through like 35 people and everyone had a different story. … I can’t back up and say, ‘Give me room, I want room, give me 12 feet, stay 12 feet away,’ they come within an inch of my face sometimes, they want to hug me and they want to kiss me and they do.”

The White House has not provided a concrete timeline of when Trump first tested positive for the coronavirus. A number of people who attended a “super spreader” event in the Rose Garden have tested positive for the virus. The White House has not contact traced that event.
