Nick Reiner — son of Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner — is in custody in connection to his parents’ deaths.
The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department records reveal, Nick was taken into custody and is being held on $4 million bail, People reports.
Rob and Michele were found dead in their Los Angeles home Sunday.
Sources told People they were found by their daughter Romy.
Nick was questioned by the Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Division.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said it was called to the home to provide medical aid at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. The victims were subsequently identified as Rob and Michele.
The couple had been married since 1989 and met while Rob was directing “When Harry Met Sally.”
They had three children, including Nick, who struggled with addiction, beginning in his teens.
Rob was the director of a number of films, including “This Is Spinal Tap,” “Stand By Me,” “The Princess Bride,” and “A Few Good Men.”
Rob was a son of legendary comedian Carl Reiner. Rob starred in the 1970s sitcom “All in the Family.”
“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner,” the Reiner family said in a statement to Variety. “We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time.”
