Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley spoke to supporters on Monday morning ahead of the Iowa caucuses.

While speaking to a crowd of people at Drake Diner in Des Moines, Iowa, Haley said voters could either “go back to the past” with Trump or “go forward in the future.”

“If you’re giving your speech, speak from the heart, speak about America, speak about where we want to take our country and speak about the fact that we can’t have a president Kamala Harris,” Haley told caucus voters. “We can’t do it.”

“Speak about the fact that we know this is how we’re going to get our country back on track,” Haley added.

The Iowa caucuses begin around 7 p.m. CT, or 8 p.m. ET, and usually take place in schools, libraries, and churches and are held by the Republican Party, according to The Wall Street Journal.

During these meetings, a representative from each of the candidate’s campaigns is allowed to deliver a short speech, after which ballots will be passed out to voters.

Former President Donald Trump is leading Haley, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy in several polls. A Morning Consult poll conducted between Jan. 11 and 13 showed Trump with 69%, Haley with 12%, DeSantis with 11%, and Ramaswamy with 5%.

A YouGov/CBS News poll conducted between Jan. 10 and 12 showed Trump with 69%, DeSantis with 14%, Haley with 12%, and Ramaswamy with 4%.
