Former President Barack Obama is raising eyebrows with a gesture he made while attacking former President Donald Trump.
During the second night of the Democratic National Convention, Obama said, “It’s been a constant stream of gripes and grievances that’s actually gotten worse now that he’s afraid of losing to Kamala.”
“The childish nicknames and crazy conspiracy theories and weird obsession with crowd size. It just goes on and on,” he added.
As he spoke, the 44th president held his hands up in a size gesture:
And some users suggested Obama was not referring to crowd sizes:
Last week, Trump falsely alleged Vice President Kamala Harris used artificial intelligence to make it appear she had a crowd of thousands of people in attendance.
However, reporters and photographers verified the crowd at the event.
Hours before Obama’as joke, Trump told CNN, “I like [Obama], I think he’s a nice gentleman.”
“He was very, very weak on trade. If you take a look at what happened to our country, trade was it was a disaster. Take a look at Japan, take a look at China. Take a look at what happened with some of these countries and what they did,” he continued. “But I happen to like him. I respect him, and I respect his wife.”
