Former President Barack Obama is hitting the road to campaign for Vice President Kamala Harris in the weeks leading up to the Nov. 5 election.
First stop — Pennsylvania.
Obama will be in the Pittsburgh area Oct. 10, per a senior campaign official, The Hill reported.
Obama isn’t stopping at the Keystone State and will travel to other battleground states for the cause.
This is Obama’s latest show of support for the Democratic presidential nominee.
Last month, Obama raised $4 million when he held a fundraiser for Harris in Los Angeles.
Both the former president and his wife, former first lady Michelle Obama, endorsed Harris shortly after she entered the race for the White House after President Joe Biden dropped out.
It is believed Obama played a hand in Biden’s decision to leave the race by pressuring the president, especially after his disastrous debate performance against former President Donald Trump.
The friendship between Harris and Obama has existed for two decades.
They met when Obama was running for the Senate, the senior campaign official said. Harris supported Obama in his successful 2008 presidential bid and even knocked on doors in Iowa for Obama before the caucus .
Both Obamas spoke at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in August.
