A mom traveled to see her son’s football game but ended up being tased and arrested for not wearing a mask, according to reports.

Though she suffers from asthma and was sitting with her family while appearing to be socially distanced from others, the mom, Alecia Kitts, found herself under fire from a Logan Police Department officer for not wearing a mask while at her son’s football game in Logan, Ohio.

The woman, Tiffany Kennedy, taking the video said that Kitts was not warned to wear a mask prior to interaction with the officer, according to The Ohio Star.

“Don’t touch me!” Kitts could be heard yelling at the officer as he reached to grab her. “Get off of me!” She was allegedly resisting arrest.

Kennedy told the Star, “Alecia’s mom said that when the officer tased her, the current went through the bleachers and zapped the kid sitting there too.”

She noted that there “were only 25 or 30 fans from our town on our side.” Kennedy also pointed out that the female officer that showed up is not wearing a mask at first.

According to the Star, Kitts was charged with “criminal trespass and released on her own recognizance.”

This comes as the U.S. continues to combat the coronavirus pandemic, and as health experts have urged Americans to wear masks to help mitigate the spread of the virus.
