Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) is swiping back at President Donald Trump after he criticized her during his campaign rally.
“She’s telling us how to run our country,” Trump said of Omar during his campaign rally in Moon Township, Pa., on Tuesday evening, after he said that he will win Minnesota “because of her.”
The president added, “How did you do where you came from? How was your country doing?”
Before that, Trump also took aim at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), claiming she is “not good at anything” but has “a good line of crap…She’s got a hell of a lung.” The crowd burst out in cheers after Trump’s remarks hitting Ocasio-Cortez.
He later said, “We’ve got the greatest country on earth, and we’re going to keep it that way. We don’t need socialists and we don’t need communists telling us how to run our country.”

Omar hit back, declaring on Tuesday night, “Firstly, this is my country [and] I am a member of the House that impeached you.”
She continued, “Secondly, I fled civil war when I was 8. An 8-year-old doesn’t run a country even though you run our country like one.”
The Minnesota lawmaker has been a U.S. citizen for 20 years. She was born in Somalia. Omar was elected to Congress in 2016.

She then posted a follow-up tweet with a meme from “Mean Girls” and a caption that reads, “These cult-like rallies leave me wondering one thing,” before the meme reading, “Why are you so obsessed with me?”
