The current earnings season is showing weaker results compared to previous quarters, with fewer companies exceeding expectations across markets, and valuations in the tech sector coming under increasing scrutiny and uncertainly over tariffs taking a toll on both the S&P 500 and NASDAQ indices. An engine fire forced passengers aboard a Delta Air Lines flight to evacuate Monday at Orlando International Airport.

According to a report on CNN, the Airbus A330 plane had left the gate to begin its journey to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport when a fire was reported in one of its engines.

A video by Dylan Wallace, a passenger in the terminal, revealed a large ball of orange flames emanating from the right engine.

“We are calling the fire trucks right now, we see that,” a controller said on Broadcastify. Passengers from the full Airbus A330 plane were seen evacuating down emergency slides. There were 282 passengers on board.

“Delta flight crews followed procedures to evacuate the passenger cabin when flames in the tailpipe of one of the aircraft’s two engines were observed,” according to the airline.

“We appreciate our customers’ cooperation and apologize for the experience. Nothing is more important than safety and Delta teams will work to get our customers to their final destinations as soon as possible,” the airline added.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating. No injuries were reported.
