Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) does not appear confident she can restore her friendship with President Joe Biden.

During an interview with MSNBC host Jen Psaki, Pelosi was asked, “Given your long friendship with President Biden and how much you have long loved each other, worked together so many times, I know you haven’t talked — unless you have talked — since he decided not to run, is there a way back for your friendship?”

The California Democrat noted she has not spoken to the president since he decided not to keep running for president.

“In our family, we have 3 generations of love for Joe Biden… But the most important thing we have to do is to win the election to sustain his legacy,” Pelosi added.

Speaking to reporters about her new book, “The Art of Power, My Story as America’s First Woman Speaker of the House,” Pelosi addressed her influence in getting Biden to end his re-election bid.

Reflecting on her involvement in the effort to get Biden to step aside after the debate, Pelosi said, “How can I say this in the nicest possible way: My goal in life was that man [Trump] would never step in the White House again.”

“At some point, I will come to terms with my, to peace, with my own role in this,” she continued. “I think that part of all of our goals in this was to preserve his legacy, a fabulous legacy, that would go right down the drain if Bozo got elected to the White House.”

Earlier this week, Pelosi suggested Biden deserves to be on Mount Rushmore.
