Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) insists “many” people actually enjoy President Joe Biden’s time in office.
During an appearance on CNN, Pelosi listed a series of what she called “kitchen table issues” such as democracy, “freedom to enjoy work,” education, and the environment.
“[Biden] scores very high on all of those points, and many people are appreciating and enjoying it,” she insisted.
However, she claimed, “They just are not giving him credit for it. And this is what we have to do now is to make sure that not only the president, but other validators come forward to say what he’s done.”
“But what’s really important to people is what he is going to do. Nobody votes for you for what you’ve done. They want to know what comes next,” she added.

While Pelosi insists people enjoy what Biden has done, polls appear to suggest otherwise.
Her comment comes as FiveThirtyEight’s tracker of polls shows Biden’s approval rating sits at 39%.
Meanwhile, 56.2% of Americans say they disapprove of his job performance.
Additionally, polls show a general election match-up between Biden and former President Donald Trump is very close.
But when asked about why polls find Biden losing, he told reporters, “You’re reading the wrong polls.”
